Hair Care

VIRGIN & RAW HAIR MAINTENANCE

Cleanse the hair with shampoo free of sulfates and parabens. Use conditioner that is rich in moisture. When cleansing and conditioning the hair, be sure not to rub and massage the shampoo in the hair. Instead, you should gently run your fingers through the hair as you coat it with product. Rinse the hair completely. High temperatures can damage the hair, including permanently altering the hair texture.

Straight Textures

Do not excessively use oil products on the hair. It could potentially make the hair stiff. Use heat in moderation. Do not use high temperatures.

Wavy Textures

Scrunch the hair gently to enhance and define the curls. Let the hair air-dry after washing. Do not excessively use oil products on the hair. It could potentially cause matting with the wavy hair.

DAILY CARE

It is best to finger detangle or to brush with a wide tooth comb or paddle brush to style the hair. If applying hair serum for shine, be sure it does not contain alcohol. For best results, I recommend you co-wash hair prior to installation for the best results.

BED TIME CARE

A satin bonnet or silk scarf is recommended. Sometimes doing loose braids or twists of the hair is the preferred bedtime care method before applying the bonnet/scarf.

LACE CLOSURES & FRONTALS

Laces are delicate and easy to damage if you do not know what you are doing nor how to care for them. If you over process the knots, you will experience a serious case of shedding. If you are too rough on the lace with combing and brushing it will shed and could potentially rip or lead to holes in the lace. Laces are not meant to last forever. You will be able to reuse your lace for about 5 times with proper care before needing a replacement lace. Your bundles can be reused 2-4+ years with proper care and depending on how often you use them. Keep in mind that they will shed overtime due to detangling and constant friction at the weft from the thread when sewing the bundles in.

WARNING

Using the wrong products on your extensions will result in dry, tangled and damaged hair extensions. The more you use on it, the shorter the life span of your hair. Use heat in moderation. Do not use high temperatures. High temperatures can damage the hair, including permanently altering the hair texture. Use styling products that are alcohol free. If you plan to chemically process your hair with bleach or dye, be sure to use products made specifically for processed hair to ensure the lifespan of the hair is still long even after being chemically processed.
